Track yours and your employees’ time & bill your clients automatically
Track yours and your employees’ time & bill your clients automatically
“How many hours should I bill for this project?” - Stop spending your time asking this question to yourself.
You must be utilizing your time wisely to deliver the best for your clients, so you can win more projects (and clients)
Get your whole team on-board to work together on various projects, and track the time automatically.
Meet Taskbill
Taskbill helps you track the time you & your team have spent on various projects, and generate automated invoices to be sent to your clients.
Start with filling in your company profile, which will be reflecting on your invoices.
And, start adding your client(s) information in your Taskbill account. This will be used when the invoices are auto-generated for you.
So, make sure to add every single detail such as your hourly rate, name & address of the client, estimated no. of hours, etc.
Once added, create the projects you are working on for the client & add relevant tasks under the projects.
Alternatively, you can integrate your project management tool (Asana, Basecamp, Monday, Trello) & import the projects automatically.
Tracking the time is easier than ever. All you have to do is download their browser (Chrome or Firefox) extension & login to your Taskbill Account.
When you start working on your tasks, just turn on the timer & the rest are all automated for you.
And, from your dashboard, you can view the number of hours spent on every task, every project by every team member.
With the details you’ve added to your account, Taskbill will auto-generate the invoices for you billing your clients based on the number of hours.
You can also include the Sales Tax (if any), depending on the country you are operating from, in your invoice.
Simply integrate your PayPal or Stripe to your Taskbill account to get paid instantly, with zero hassle.
With the user role settings, you can invite your team members as Manager, Member, Admin, Employee to & you can also set specific permissions for every single feature in your Taskbill account.
Taskbill’s Small Team plan would cost you $25/month for 5 members.
But today, you can get the same plan for just $25 one-time. And you can stack upto 3 codes to get upto 50 team members (we’ve got your long-term growth covered)

Here's my video review of Taskbill.
https://youtu.be/wVkPZXyE3dw
Taskbill is simple to use. Just create clients, create projects and tasks, enter your billable hours and you can start time tracking. Then use those hours to invoice your clients. That is literally it. I'm glad that Taskbill did not have too many fanciful features that complicates the utility of it.
However, I would recommend to have more project management tools and payment gateways integrated.

Hi,
1. Can I integrate with my existing project management tools or I need to use it as stand alone utility. What new features do you plan to integrate, can you look at "Gadgit" and emphasis on costing aspect of a particular feature, means define feature, save it for future use and cost it. I guess that will give you a competitive edge.
2. I need webhooks integration to automate my workflow, means take data inside ERP or another project management tool, do you plan to offer webhooks functionality in near future.
3. What about data and hour tracking?
Thanks

Any plan to add screenshot feature?

It doesn't look like you can pause a task timer. Especially working from home you can get interrupted. It's easier to pause a time than to continually start and stop a timer in 15 minute increments on some mornings. Any plans for that in the future?

I am interested in this but can’t see how to add projects with end dates. For example, I work with a client for 5 hours this week, but another client for 10 hours from 10th July to 29th. I need to see how many hours are used, how much is left and how long is left. I just can’t see it. Please advise. Thanks.

Hi,
I often do fixed priced projects and some of them are recurrently invoiced projects. Can I setup
a) fixed amount invoices, and/or
b) recurrent invoices
on Taskbill?
Thanks.

Hey Everyone, based on feedback from today's Webinar, we have added support for sending invoices from your own domain via custom SMTP settings.
To enter your SMTP settings, click on Settings->Company Profile. Enter in your SMTP username, password, port and server address.
After you click save a test email will be sent to your company email address from your company email address to confirm the settings are correct. All invoices will now come from your company email address set in your company profile and sent via your SMTP server instead of TaskBill.io.

Hello,
Software looks interesting. But have few questions before making my mind.
1) What exactly is a "Team Member"? Is it our staff / employee?
2) Is there any approval step to approve the times entered by the team member before it could be sent to the invoice?
E.g. Let's consider a hypothetical situation:, I have two teams of 4 programmers each (so total 8 programmers). Each team has its own project leader (so there are total 2 project leaders). Each team working on separate project for separate client.
When all 8 programmers feed in their work time, I as a owner of the company have no time to verify everybody has entered correct time or not. It is the responsibility of their project leaders to check if each of their team members have filled in correct and legit times for each task and then they should approve/reject it and only approved times should come to billable area. Is it possible?
3) How many currencies are supported in the system and which all?
4) In single software, can we generate bills for different clients in different currencies?
E.g. I have one client from US, one from London, one from Germany and one from India. From within same system can I create separate bills in USD. GBP, Euro and INR respectively?
5) Does it have webhooks support?
E.g. if certain events are triggered e.g. bill created, task entered, payment received etc.. the data should be sent to outside 3rd party tool through webhooks to perform additional automation or integration.
6) If I don't use Quickbooks, what other alternative payment gateways can I integrate with this software to collect the payments? Which all payment gateway integrations are natively supported?
7) I saw in one of your replies that you don't have custom domain support. Then what about the emails those are sent out to clients on various events like invoice generated, invoice paid etc... From which domain name / email id the outgoing emails will be sent to clients? They must be sent from my domain / email.
8) Do clients also have access to this system? And if so, they are treated as team member Or client? Are there any access rights differences between a client access and team member access?
9) Since how long is this software been launched in the market? And how big is your team of developers?
Thanks

Does your program integrate with my programs:
1) My task management program is https://clickup.com/
2) My CRM is ActiveCampaign
3) My Bookkeeping system is QuickBooks Online
4) My payment system is Stripe.
Please let me know how and if your system can integrate with my systems. Thanks

Can we do auto-invoicing for a manual rate of whatever we choose or does the software have to calculate it off the billable hours every week?

I purchased a license and spent about an hour looking into it. This is not a review and even if it looks like a list of complaints & grievances, I'd appreciate if it is considered as such, meaning I will be glad if the developer answers to each point not only for my personal benefit but for everyone interested as well. I don't want to be confrontational, and will appreciate comments from the developer. Maybe I am wrong.
I already asked via the support page about the (in)ability to log billing time in minutes (time is kept track in hours; try converting 43 minutes into hours, I will wait). But I also see other areas where the tool is seriously lacking.
1. I don't see the ability to mark a payment as invoiced or paid manually. It seems the tool relies on QuickBooks integration; if one does not use QuickBooks, there is no way to keep track of what is billed and paid. I at least cannot see it. I.e. the "Record Offline Payments Manually" item in the deal description is false, and "Automated Client Invoices" means nothing if it requires QuickBooks. In any case, the tool does not have any invoice generation capabilities of its own.
2. Along with the inability to log time in minutes, the app does not allow logging start time and end time (which is a must when one moves from another system to this one and wants to know the sequence of tasks performed during each day). One can only enter the date and length of time spent on a task, which is insufficient.
3. The Date Range selector in the Report tool is hopelessly broken. Instead of Start Date and End Date as in any other software I've seen in the last 30 years or so, date range uses a single field that says for example "July 23, 2021 to July 29, 2021". The problem is that if one clicks on that date range, a single calendar appears. The user must have the strength of mind to figure out that they are supposed to click TWICE on dates to select the start and end date. This is horrible UI/UX.
I was hoping I would get a tool that would allow me to keep track of maybe 20 hours monthly of extra project work that I do on top of my regular duties. So far I am using Clockify but their free version does not support billing/invoice tracking, and their paid version that does simply does not work out for me considering how little I am using it each month. Judging from the deal description, TaskBill could satisfy my requirements but apparently this is not the case.
I will be glad to stand corrected. Until then, whoever considers buying it, my advice is to register a free account and test thoroughly before committing.
