I took a serious look at Calipio vs Berrycast and it was the obvious choice. Functionally it's a great tool I like that there are no local downloads for the application the video is great and it's super easy to use. The quality of the product is great and I highly recommend it!

Oh, My Goodness!

The people behind Calipio are seriously gifted. Their company may be less than a year old, but the creators and programmers behind this project are not just starting out.

This is the first LTD I have ever bought that has video downloading on embed blocked -- and customizing a video player to block easy-download for embedding onto a website is not easy, even for companies. Calipio has figured it out and it's impressive. To me the player alone is a very rare find from such a new company, but we're also getting access to an ever-growing communication package.

The recorder embed for your own website (which if you have a full stack can be customized with your own branding, and main website link) allows for unlimited responses, only dependent on the amount of storage you have on the tier you signed up for, and the recorders I am using here, as a test, https://page.brick.do/embedding-calipio-into-brick-do-GNWBWKMmL5Lv, are connected to separate folders, so I can have multiple recorders set up to directly send testimonials, customer questions, even job-applicant introductions, to neatly categorized folders specific to what the recorder was set up for (using the same branding for the one library). If you want each player to have its own branding then you'd have to use a different library/business account (third tier). We can also set the recorder-tokens to expire after a campaign is over (the first player on the test page is active the second player is not and you can see how a player with an expired token works on that page.)

Calipio also uses their own player and recorder. Take a look at this page explaining how the new SDK recorder embed works: https://calipio.com/screen-recorder-sdk-tutorial/. The player on the page is the same player we get, (try right-clicking or cmd-clicking and save as, you can't save the mp4) and since it's the same Calipio player the recording was probably created with Calipio.

One last thing. If you are on the fence and can afford to full stack before the deal ends, you may want to take a chance and return it later if you are not happy. The Calipio team seems to listen and for the amount of quality being put into this product they work fast, and if they end up adding video upload that is on the roadmap this deal will be like getting a secure video hosting service for free, with share links to your videos already built in.

First of all: Calipio is great, I've wanted such a tool for a long time! One quick question: when can we expect approximately to be able to pause a recording? I use Calipio to give feedback on speeches in a rhetoric course. I do this in sections. I have to think between the sections, and without the pause function the videos become unnecessarily long.

Powered by is always part of all deals, there is a white label option coming soon and available to everyone who wants, regardless of what deal you have!

This is not actually true and I don’t understand why somebody has removed this post already! I’m not able to add a custom domain and branding in my account why?the other question is what would be the cost to remove “powered”? We have been promised with a white label and this is not actually white label! It’s an addon!@Raoul:

@Raaj: tier 1 allows you can customize the logo, favicon, colors and domain. Nevertheless the powered by Calipio text will remain. If you are interested in full white labeling you can contact our sales team https://calipio.com/contact/

@Klaus Schäffer: You mean you will remove it by contacting your team? Or am I missing something? I don't understand why you would have powered by on there. It is very sneaky to do that with custom branding and CNAME.

@Raaj: Contacting the sales team means potentially purchasing a white label option if course. As with every product on earth, the marketing component of the product’s branding is already included in the pricing. Kind of discount you had already received upon purchasing. When you buy your new bike or car, the brand will be visible there as well 😄

If one needs it totally clear of a brand you have to pay an optional uptake to compensate for the liss in marketing ability of the recordings you produce

@Raoul: Well your analogy is off as a car does not offer you with custom branding. They sell the car as their brand. Not in your case. I have bought 100's of SaaS and when they say custom branding and CNAME, none of this Powered by stuff is there. Anyways I am out as there are similar offerings without this sneaky branding slipped in.

@Raaj: We don’t see it sneaky at all and of course it’s up to you which tools you are using. Ours represents the best and most

responsible we can do. Custom branding and CNAME are there, we never tried to make you believe it is more than that.

@Raoul: We will agree to disagree. The whole meaning of custom branding means you don't advertise your products as your own. You may as well not include CNAME and just use Calipo. I see no difference when you have a powered by with your branding. That's the whole point of custom branding.

Why is that you have turned your loading page into a glorified advertisement and no one can turn it off? Why is this not communicated to people who purchase this so they can choose not to purchase? I wish there were more transparency here. I also wish that Saas Mantra would respond to communication regarding refunds of this tool.

Dear @Ozioma, the loading page is a positive encouragement for another great screen recording. There are a oot of people out there interested in just making a simple and quick screen recording and we want to offer our services to them

How do we get in touch with support? I have tried to use the widget on the page, but it just clocks for a while when submitting and the says "Unable to save. Please try later"

I can not log into my account. I get the error message "The operation has failed". Just used Calipio earlier today with no issues, now I can't log in.

Hello. I purchased the 3 stack of Calipio as an early adopter and I am considering upgrading to increase the number of libraries; however, before I do that I have some important questions.

1. Do you have any plans to allow us to record our cam at full resolution even while we are recording the screen? Since you allow us to download each stream separate, I would love to be able to record each stream at max resolution, download separately, and then edit in a video editor to switch the focus back and forth between the screen recording and the cam for a better produced tv-like video.

2. The video recordings seem to have some lag while playing back and sometime the videos would stall or buffer in the middle of playback. Where are your servers located? Do you have any plans to add North America servers if you don’t already have them or A CDN. This seems like a major drawback. Perhaps, adding a CDN would help.

3. Do you have any plans to add domain protection to the embedded videos? If I embed a video on my site, I don’t want the content to be copied, downloaded, or shared. Will you add additional protection other than encryption?

4. Could you please give us the option to move the cam to a different corner while recording? Also, please make the Calipio branding.

Hi, quick question so I looked at some of the old comments here, and it says that cname is not included unless we buy tier 3. but those comments are about a month old & I see that right now, all plans include cname option & it seems like all the feature in the each of the plans remains the same & the only difference is each tier have a different amount of library, is that correct?

@math: Earlier, the deal was structured in a way that you could only buy 1 library for the third tier.

We have revised the deal, and CNAME is included in all the tiers now.

@Sampath: does the cname includes the removal of powered by calipio as well? and there seems to be different pricing going on on the tier page; it says 104.30 for Tier 1, but when I check out, it's showing $149 for the tier 1. could you clarify which pricing is accurate?

Perfect solution for me except for one imp problem - I usually find videos are laggy - lips movement and voice not matched well. Any probability of improvement in the near future?

I tried on many systems including incognito mode on the browser.
